The Biggest Loser Australia: Singles (or The Biggest Loser: Australia Season 7) is the upcoming seventh season of the Australian version of the original NBC reality television series The Biggest Loser. Trainers for this season are expected to include Michelle Bridges, Shannan Ponton, Steve Willis (The Commando) and Tiffiny Hall with Hayley Lewis expected but not confirmed to return as host. The season will feature, for the first time since 2008, contestants competing as individuals rather than in couples or families. It is the first time the series has reverted back to the original format. [1]

Heavy emphasis has been placed on the word 'Singles' in the title, with Network Ten confirming at their 2012 launch that 'romance' will play apart in this season.[2]

The season was announced during the Season 6 finale on 2 May 2011 and was confirmed at the Network TEN 2012 Program Launch on 17 August 2011, originally announced as a second "Families" installment.[3]

Production and filming on the season began in November 2011. [4]

Host and personalities

While nothing has been confirmed, it is expected that Hayley Lewis will return as host. Shannan Ponton, Michelle Bridges, Steve Willis ("The Commando") and Tiffiny Hall all trained in the 2011 season and are likely to return this year.
